I found this project that I simply loved and I want to share it with you! A simple t-shirt will look fantastic with that design, just check it out…
Redesigning clothes: Cute T-shirt
What you’ll need:
- T-shirt or Blouse.
- Safety pin.
- Bottle cap.
Draw a line around the neckband and bottom hem of the shirt, then cut along the lines. Draw a straight line from the bottom of one armhole to the opposite shoulder and cut. Part the hem to the top of the shirt to fit the new opening.
Once the hem is adjusted, trim the excess and sew to close. Mark the center of the front and back of the shirt, then mark 3.5 inches on each side of the center. Sew with a regular stitch within that 7-inch, 1/4 inch of the edge of the cut and pull the thread to create a gather.
Place the peeled hem back into the opening and sew 1/4-inch from the cut edge. Cut the discarded sleeve so that it lies flat. Place the bottle cap in the center of the sleeve, cut the ends into strips, tie a knot at the ends around the cap and pull at the edges to curl them.
Trim the neckband, then sew the ends to the sleeveless side of the shirt like a strap, adjusting it to length. Pull and stretch the edge of the ribbon cut for a curly effect. Place the covered bottle cap in front of the shirt or blouse with a safety pin.
And here is the result…
