Scarves are setting a trend in fashion and they are no longer used only to protect us from the cold, because there are models that you can wear at any time of the year. Scarves beyond being a functional piece they have also become a decorative wardrobe item. Today we are going to tell you how to give a new life to a cotton shirt that you no longer use to turn it into a recycled fabric scarf.
Recycled fabric scarf
- Large T-shirt (XL or XXL).
- A plate of approximately 20 cm in diameter.
- Decorative brooch, it can be a tissue flower or any other decoration of your choice.
Step by step:
Lay the t-shirt on a flat surface (make sure it’s big, so you can make 8-12 circles).
Use the plate to trace 8-12 circles on the shirt (4-6 come out on each side of the shirt). Then cut out the circles.
Cut each circle of fabric in a spiral.
Stretch each piece of fabric and place them all together.
To use the scarf you just have to tie the strips around your neck and place a brooch to decorate.
